Recently I was searching for directions on Google maps and got carried on touring the city on street view anyway, i decided to visit my home and saw my car parked on the street and it just made me happy to see it from the google camera's point of view. So, I thought why not make thread about mavs on google's street view, right? Now there has to be rules: 1) Try to catch a 3/4 angle of your car so we can get a good view of it. 2) Do not post a photo of you car with street name or coordinates on it, we don't want to loose our privacy or make car thieves' lifes easier. 3) Do not photoshop or retouch the photo, unless it's to blur details about your home or maybe license plate (I think google takes care of the license plates, but I could be wrong). So, what's the point if it? You may ask. I figured we could all take this photos as an honest and standardized view of our cars, since they are all shot with the same camera and the same angles and probably the same light. So there won't be any "lying" about the way our cars look. I"ll start with mine.
My newest Google shot is Jul '12, I didn't own my Comet then... Unless Google can see inside my garage, not going to see it anyway...
I have the racecar and the 70 grabber in the garage so the 72 has to site outside. Got the 62 Ford van and 57 wagon behind the side gate too
Come on guys! What's the point of having a nice car if it's only gonna sit inside a garage? Show your car to the world!!!
last year, i was driving behind a navteq labeled car. don't know who they were taking pictures for. might have been microsoft or nokia, so once they come up with their version, i'll make sure to post a picture!
its funny, i tried theres no streetview for my neighborhood, but the sat image shows the 2011 mustang, but the tree blocks the view of the 72 maverick. Ha. (although you can see the shadow somewhat, so its def there)
My Maverick was under a car cover for about 2 weeks at the most...guess which week the picture was taken
Well, eventually google is going to pass in front of everyones homes, sometimes it takes up to year but they'll pass Nice yellow mav there by the way
And see one of the Grand Marquis or maybe my old F-150, not much chance they'll catch my Comet in the driveway though...
Here's mine last year. Sitting in front of my house while I was probably asleep inside. Was working third shift then. The Trans AM is my girlfriend's and the green truck is my Ford 5.0/C4 swapped '72 C10. Used to a pic of it sitting in the parking lot where I work but I guess they've updated the pics of that area in the past year.
