    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knew if the factory Ford dog dish caps for a Maverick came in different diameters? I have been searching online to find the answer to this question and no one seems to have a straight answer for me. Typical dog dish hub caps measure around 10 1/8th inches. I have seen a lot of the style of cap I am looking for being listed as measuring 9 1/2 inches. The 9 1/2 inch caps would fit a 14" steel wheel and a 10 1/8th inch cap would fit a 15" steel wheel.

If anyone could give me some clarity on this topic I would greatly appreciate it. Also if someone does have a set of the larger diameter caps that would fit onto a 15" steel wheel I would be interested to purchase them.

As always thanks for the help that everyone provides on this forum.:thumbs2:

I have 14" wheels and they take the 10 1/4" ones. From what I know, the 14" and 15" wheels use the same ones.

If there is a smaller one (I've never had any myself) I would guess they are for the 13" wheels.

I'd also guess the smaller ones are for 13" wheels...

There are two Mav dog dishes listed in the Master Parts Catalog, D0DZ-1130-C is 9 5/8" while D0DZ-1130-D is 10 5/8"... The ones for Falcon, Fairlane, etc are the larger diameter and those didn't use a 13" wheel...

well... 13" 4 bolt falcon dog dish hubcaps will fit a 14" 4 bolt wheel. at least they do off the 63 i had and the 62 i currently have. 4 bolt to 5 bolt may differ in the smaller sizes

Kinda stands to reason a larger bolt pattern would require a larger hubcap...

10 5/8" from the book - must be using the outside diameter
When I measured ones sitting here for my post this morning, it was 10 1/4" inside

I have put the same ones on 14" 4 lug and 5 lug. Never had a 13" to try.

So basically the consensus we have come to is that there is two different sizes of dog dish that Ford made for the Maverick. I was looking at a set that someone had listed on eBay and they said that they measured them at 9 1/2" lip to lip, and the overall diameter was 10 1/2". I don't see how the measurement could be that much greater when the lip is so thin. He was under the impression that these caps would not work on a 15" wheel.

These are the caps I am looking for.

Yes, Ford Parts Manual list those in your photo in two different sizes

I've got several dog dish caps. If I don't forget, I'll check on them tomorrow when I get off work. I'm pretty sure I have some like that...just not sure how many.

Alright sounds good. If you come up with a set of 4 that are the 10 5/8" ones in good condition private message me, as always thanks.
