Looking at a set of fr500s I was going to do 17s but I keep finding 18s. I was wondering what back spacing do I need to have no rub. Also without tubing the rear. already know I will roll the fenders. I want the tires to sit inside the fender well nothing sticking out. http://m.ebay.com/itm/191249592408?nav=SEARCH
re rims I'm running 18x7s front and back with about 1 inch spacers on the rear, still with abit of room to spare
Those 18X10s might be a touch too wide. Especially so after you add rubber to them. Some guys have pulled it off, but I think if you want to stay up inside the fender lips, it will be challenging. I have 8" wide rims and I find it challenging to keep from rubbing my rubber on the outside lip. And they are rolled...
Just pulled a wheel off and it was actually +45mm offset, the the 70mm I could see was the rim center
presuming you have a stock rear end you can run a 4 inch BS on a 18x8 no problem. x9 will work as well with that same BS but depending on how low and what size tire you are running will need to roll the fender. if you want to play it safe run a 18x8 with the 4inch BS and a 265 40 or 275 35.
Thanks Mavman I actually have an 8.8 out of a 97 mustang for the rear. I am not sure if that makes a difference. I am still in a toss up with sticking with my grabber hood or getting one of your CF cowl hoods.
it will because asking anyone such as myself whom has a stock width rearend will be irrelevant. you just changed everything. given there are lots of people you will see that tell you they have this or that but they never tell you that the rear end is stock or changed out to something else. Key point. you will need to ask someone whom owns a maverick with that same rearend and see what they are running. but even then that can be subjective. good luck on finding what works. Cowl if you need clearance, grabber if you don't OR flat with comet scoops
