well..in your case you can just plug the dipstick hole on your timing cover, get double sump pan and run dipstick on side don't use stock location dipstick with rear sump, as you'll get false reading of oil level. ie. you can be severely low on engine oil, but stick is measuring from front sump, which can still have allot of oil trapped in that section..
i ment to say i had to change my front cover as I went from stang double sump to mav style pan all you'd have to do is plug the whole in your mav style cover where the dipstick went, and just get double sump and correct oil pickup/tube that pickup seems correct for what you need need to get matching dipstick/tube thats listed in oil pan descirption too then all should be gravy
This is the one I am thinking about getting. I don't see a dip stick in any description.. I don't see where it would go in this pan either..? http://www.ebay.com/itm/400723235634?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
What good is a chrome oil pan? The factory 73 front timing cover has the dipstick and the hole for it, the later timing covers don't since a dipstick at the front of the engine would be useless with a double sump pan, that is the reason they are in the newer pans...
Yes. I know. I don't see a place on the pan I posted for a dipper.. So now I need to get a timing cover also??
I got this one directly from Rod and Custom. Came with pickup and everything. Very thick and heavy material, if that is what you are looking for. And almost CHROME!!!
Nice. Unfortunately I am unable to get even the cheapo stamped one. I blew my engine in my work truck today. 17,000 miles, 1 year and about 6 months on this rebuilt engine . < grumpy ain't cuttin it. I need the po! smiley! To be continued..
