You know the chrome looking one on the dash that seperates the two tone colors of the Grabber dash, how do you get that off without destroying it? And can it be put back on? I did a search but to no avail. I really need to take it off so I can sand and paint my dash, I could tape it but don't really want to go that route. Thanks in advance
Mine ('72) was held on with small spring clips like the ones that hold the door panels on. My dash was out and would be repainted when I took the trim off so it wasn't hard. If you can reach up behind the dash and feel those clips they'll probably push out without hurting anything -- except maybe your fingers if you don't use a coin or something.
Question...is it only Grabbers that have that little piece of chrome trim? I looked at my 71 and 73 dashes and those don't have it and never did.
Anyone know where i can get those little spring clips? They are smaller than door panel clips and I went to reinstal my trim today and I'm missing more than half of them, need at least another 6.
