Check to see if you have a vaccum leak, if u don't find a wire damaged. Check it when engine is running properly and measure results. Check it agn when running poorly and if it's not close to 1st. reading - you have a vacc. issue.

with the additive you should not have flattened a cam lobe. chances are something else is causing the problem.

do u guys think it could be my ignition coil,i have a Mallory unilite distributor with mechanical vacuum and the pro master coil.today I replaced all the plugs 2 of them looked to be fouled ,there was no burned plug wires ,I took my coil wire off and installed the old one and it started running a little bit smoother but still missed sooooo I took it back off and placed the new one on and it ran great ,I drove it it around for 15 mintues or so and ran like a champ got home cut it off hit the switch on and off several times fired right up.i don't know what else it could be ive looked at everything ,don't know how old the coil is .I bought this car last yr and I have only did new plugs once until now ,I did replace the cap and rotor on the Mallory distributor and they were in bad shape.watcha guys think ,ive always thought a coil would misfire after it heats up ,thanks for everyones help I greatly appreciate it ,I lov emy mavs and im learning as I go with yalla help so be patient with me I might ask a dumb question or two

the module in the mallory unilites are notorious for burning out. they wont make it run rough. they will either work or not.
have checked to see if any vacuum caps have come off or disintegrated?

Bryant I have did the check for vacuum leaks and old caps 2 or 3 times ,doesn't mean I haven't over looked one,i still would like to know if the coil could be going bad,yea I have heard about the modules in the distributor going bad ,like u said it cant be that.i do have a extra canister style coil I could wire up tomorrow and see if that makes a difference,i j ust can tunderstand how it can start out running so rough and smooth out to purr like a kitten and run so strong and sit over night and start out sluggish when first start

the starting rough sounds like a choke issue. maybe the linkage sticking or something.
