what rear wheel cylinders have you guys used and works...i just bought 2 that are defective.destroyed my coating i had on the backing plate and my drum, wasted brake fluid and brake cleaner. 1 is a NAPA (surprising) and the usual brakeware. they just suck. i've gone through so many brakeware on my trans am. and it's not me. my brakes are adjusted as far enough out as they possibly can be before i can put the drum on. it just seems like they're all designed wrong according to the shape of the brake shoe. there's no actual arm that pushed out in the slot...
how about a picture? it seems like your missing a part that goes in the wheel cylinder and pushes against the shoes
most late 60s and 70s ford midsize and compacts had them. I can look tomorrow and see if I dont have another set of four...........you might put an ad in the parts wanted section
