    Well The Time Has Come

I Bought My 1973 Maverick This Summer And Have Enjoyed It Everyday Driving it And Taking It To Crusies
I Bought This Maverick For One Reason And That Reason Was To Build it as a tribute to my best friend and brother who passed away of cancer 2 years ago .. since then i had been on a mission to do this ..
the maverick was the first car i owned back in highschool him and i had worked on together back in the day
i Had Tried To Do Other Cars For This Tribute But They Did Not Work out ''Guess He Didnt Like My Idea'' ..
then one morning i was reading Craigslist and there She was 1973 maverick ,302 ,dual exhaust , crager wheels ,
b&m Floor Shift , gauges Almost built the same way we built mine in highschool i called the gentelman to make arrangments to see it . i drove 2 1/2 hours in pouring rain and thunderstorms ..Finally I Had Made It On A Back Country Road '' And I Mean Country Road " There She Was I Got out of My Truck And Chills And Tears Came Over Me i looked her over took her for a test drive and we became one so after talking with the owner ona a price and becoming friends the reason he was selling the maverick cause he too had cancer and he too was fighting .. I Knew Then This Was The Car .... So After A Great Summer With Her And strange things happening in my life ''all good '' Since i Got The Maverick Like Meeting Great New Friends On Here I Must Fullfil This Mission So She Goes In The Garage Next Saturday For The Winter To Complete My Mission To My Best Friend And Brother She Will Be Revealed At Maverick Round Up 2015
This Will Be A Low Budget Build With An Old School Drag Look Since We Both Loved Dragracing And The Local Drag Strip Was The Last Place Him And I Enjoyed Together Before He Left Us
And SHHHH His Wife Still Dont Know We Took Her Mustamg Out Down The 1/4 Mile At 130 mph LMAO

Best of luck with the project.

One of my best buddies has a 73 AMX that was totally restored by a mutual friend of ours... we helped on that car. Two years after it was done, and it had collected a lot of trophies, we lost him to leukemia. My friend was finally able to buy the car, 10 years after we lost him, and it is a great way to still have Stan around with us.... quite literally .... there is a small vial of his ashes hanging from the rearview mirror.
