    your car looks really good! You mentioned it's a 1973, but it appears (by the looks of the front bumper) that it's a 1972??? Of course, you can tell by the VIN number. It IS possible someone did a small-bumper swap, but it doesn't look like it. What does your title say??

    According to the title: 1973 Mercury 2D SDN. Most of the VIN decoders out there say it's too short. According to DecodeThis, it has the following:

    I would be curious what type of front fenders it has. Do the fenders have the notch as needed for a 1972....or are they 1973 fenders?

    I say 73 because of the tail lights. Those look like they been there..
