Bought one of these off ebay from a guy in the UK - under $20 with shipping. Fits perfectly in the 302. Makes it easy and clean looking to add an oil pressure line for the mechanical gauge, while keeping the stock sending unit for the factory oil light.

I made an adapter out of fittings from the hardware store doesn't look as good but serves the same function. I've also seen people drill and tap the adapters on late model 5.0's for the same look, if you have the patience(I don't). Had I know about this, this is the route I would have gone.

I was going to try making something until I saw this. I'm glad I picked it up. Sure made for a nice clean install.

I was just pondering how I was going to do the same, that is nice and clean looking I will have to get my son looking for one now that he works at NAPA. He hates looking up fittings for me so this is good payback for all the years of helping him. LOL

I just bought one for myself. That is a very clean install and I like the option of still having the light along with the mechanical gauge. Thanks for the heads up on this item.

Only 10 days. That's 3 days faster than the USPS from California to Illinois.

I had a similar setup to this in brass on my first Comet way back when. I am sure that I bought it at either a local auto parts store or maybe Ace Hardware. Might have been a Tee fitting with a short bump-out for the mechanical line.

'Just curious; how does that oil sending unit work? Does it ground when there's no oil pressure?
I know the Temp sender grounds when the coolant hits around 230°, which turns on the Temp light.
