Considering this mod(especially if I score another parts car)... Is there a bracket for pedal assembly that must be added/welded in place???

As I recall....from the factory it just bolts on. Must be something different about the driver's side kick panel area.

Thanks, I suspected that may be the case, shouldn't be too difficult to accommodate it's mounting ...

I have a 1977 here that I will be parting out. When I get that far, I can shoot some pictures for you as to how it mounts.

there is a bracket / flange that is spot welded to the kick plate area that the pedal assembly bolts to. I believe the assembly also ties in at the front to the brackets on the lower dash. That said I was able to weld my old bracket into my 71 kick plate area and fabricate a mount for the front of the pedal assembly. There is also the issue of the brake cable; It goes through the floor by the hi/lo light switch and also routes through the torque box.
