    Very nice!!

We went with a group of people from central VA. We had a yellow '70 Toriono Cobra, yellow '70 Toriino GT convertible, yellow '70 Torino GT 429 CJ and a '66 Fairlane GT.

You have a very nice looking Cobra!

The guy that went with us that had the '70 Torino GT 429CJ car has a Cobra like your's (Red 4 speed car) that was taken apart and completely painted several years ago. He has never put it back together. My uncle has been thinking of making him an offer on the car.

Being delivered in June of 69, I would have to assume that your ignition was under the dash

    Thanks!!

You've owned you fair share of awesome rides yourself, those 1st gen Montes are just plain cool, also always liked the GS Buicks....

The gal across the street boyfriend ordered a new '69 Black Jade Fairlane like yours, was 2bbl 351 and four speed(wanted to run regular gas)... I had a '69 HT that was 351 4bbl, four speed with 3.25 traction lock and other than radio & vinyl top no options... No doubt someone ordered it as a sleeper... Rarest by far was the Q code SCJ F-500 HT I bought in need of restoration(def ordered as a sleeper), another without P/S, P/B etc... Sold it to a buddy who did the resto and still has it...

    Thanks!!

Those do sound like some special ordered cars to fly under the radar!! Stuff like that is cool and has always interested me.

I also had another GS Buick that I couldn't find any pictures of. It was a Cameo Creme '70 GS350 hardtop that was a factory bench seat 4 speed car. It had tan vinyl interior and was manual steering, manual drum brakes and no AC which is a very rare combo on any Buick.

I put a cam and aluminum intake in that car along with long tube headers and swapped to a 12 bolt with 4.11 posi rear gears. It was a pretty stout little small block setup. Nobody thought a small block Buick would run, but I made quite a few believers in my town back in the day.

I found another picture of one of my old Ford's.

This is a 1967 Galaxie 500. It was a 390-4V bench seat 4 speed car with just 42K original miles. According to the Marti Report out of the 197K Galaxie 500 2 doors made that year this was one of only 840 made with the 390-4V, 4 speed combo.

I bought the car in Murfeesboro, TN in January 2001. I took it to the Carlisle All Ford Nationals that year and placed 2nd in my class. I sold the car a couple of years later and it ended up somewhere in the upper midwest. The new owner drove it back to Carlisle a couple of years after, but I haven't seen it since.

    I was there!!!

More or less treated as a outcast as I was driving my 5.0 powered Turbo Coupe... Didn't plan on winning any thing, but had a helluva $25 parking spot

The '67 is one of the better looking big Ford years(owned one but had 289), always thought '68 was kinda bland though has same roof line... Sportsroof '69 were cool and last year for 4-speed in the full size models...

    Surprised we haven't met before!

We always take a car to Calisle and put it in the show just for the reason you stated, great parking spot and admission for me , my dad and uncle for Thursday-Sunday.

The '67 was always my favorite year big Ford. I have also owned two '64 Galaxie 500 convertibles, but can't find any pictures of them either.

Yeah we've probably walked by one another a couple dozen times... I had the Bird there every year between '01-'05, drove Cobra in '98 or '99 & '00..

As far as big Fords I'm partial to '63 & '64, owned a couple '64 but no '63...

First '64 was 289 three on tree, I converted to 390 four speed, second was 390 Cruse-O-matic... Couldn't bond with the automatic, was resold a couple months after I bought it and went back to the four speed, bought the Cobra about a year later...

Yeah, we might have even been looking at the same car at the same time and didn't even know it!

I had my '94 T-Bird SC (Dark blue with blue leather and 5 speed) in the show in either '02 or ''03. My uncle brought his 35th anniversary SC that year too.

Both my '64's were 289 cars. One was a white car with blue bench seat interior and matching blue convertible top, it was an automatic. The other one was Maroon with a black bench seat interior and black top. It was originally a 3 speed on the column car but had been converted to a 4 speed. They did a nice job, changed to the correct steering column and got the correct 4 speed shifter and all.

I'm definitely partial to stick cars. I wish my Grabber was a 4 or 5 speed!

Yes, ignition in the dash. It was really a nice little car. It had a C4. The wife wanted it. It was the first car that I bought with an automatic transmission.

The 1970 Maverick, 1967 C10, and Nissan Stanza T12, circa 1989. Bought the Maverick in 1977 and recently scrapped it (see my media), and we just fired up the truck last weekend:

The '65 Beetle, circa 1976. Had 12 Beetles, 1 camper bus, 1 2 door truck, 1 4 door truck, a Type 3 fastback, and still currently have some older watercooled Volkswagens. Still have one wheel from this car.

    Cool pics!

Looks like the Century had T-tops. My parents bought a brand new '73 LTD wagon that was light green with the wood grain siding. It was a 460-4V with the tow package and we pulled our 24' Terry travel trailer from VA to CA to go to Disneyland in the summer of 1973.
