Emailed Ford requesting records on my Maverick

    Here's the relevant bit of what they had to say:

    Please be advised that Historical data, such as you have requested, is not maintained by the Customer Relationship Center. However, you may be able to obtain an answer to your inquiry by contacting the Henry Ford Museum.

    The Henry Ford Museum contains a research facility, The Benson Ford Research Center, which is able to assist the public in determining certain historical facts, and provide photographs. The Museum does charge a service fee for such inquiries, relative to the amount of research required. The Center is open to the general public during regular business hours for free onsite research. If possible, visitors to the Center should make an appointment in advance by calling 1(313)982-6020.

    It's actually always been there, I've been in there, just never had the time to spend. We should have made some time when we had the Roundup in Dearborn.

    Before Marti took over the service, there was Ford's "History 999" Report. When I called them to get mine, the "kid" who answered the phone said "what's a Maverick?".

    Yeah, Ford Motor Company has long since moved on, and the Maverick/Comet is not on their mind.

    I remember now getting a Ford 999 report years ago on my Maverick :)
