    1973 Yellow Maverick Grabber
100_0247.JPG Hi, I haven't visited here for several years. I had my 1973 Grabber repainted with new decals and stripes last year. I exhibited her in indoor exhibit in the May 2014 Good Guys Get Together in Pleasanton, CA. I live about 10 miles north of Pleasanton.

Driving out I saw another yellow and black Grabber just like mine but not newly painted. I nodded to the guy, but he ignored me. I don't know why. If he's from Pleasanton or nearby, there's another yellow and black 1973 Grabber around here too. I've seen other Mavericks and Comets in this area but that's the only other one that looks like my car.

    Your car looks really good.
You should consider a front bumper-tuck.

I wondered why it sticks out so much. Is that original to 1973 or was that added by a previous owner? I want to keep the car original and I know the rear bumpers were enlarged in 1974. I thought the front bumpers might have been in 1973.

It sticks out that much because it is factory. Just they way they came in 1973.

Seems to me this thread has gotten away from it original intent, "WHERE ARE YOU FROM"?

The car looks awesome! Too bad they didn't do the "Grabber" like the factory did.

I guess Yellow Comets deserve honorable mention... :D

I have apparently gathered a reputation of finding a lot of Yellow Mavericks and Comets for sale on the interwebs and posting them in the Craigslist/E-Bay forum.

It's also too bad the Grabber hood was discontinued in '73. What was Ford thinking??!
