So, fedex arrived today and with big grins my son and i started taking the front end apart. There is a hidden secret... we contenplated what goes where, how this comes off, how that goes back on, etc... from our conclusions, ball joints, a little tuff, sway bar, not bad, spings...easy. a-arms...um...yeah, we're going to sweat a minute there.

Nope, nope, and nope. Easy easy easy, everything...except the new springs. They suck. A lot. 4 hours of fitting, sqishing, fitting, cutting, fitting, sqishing...dangit. they suck. one side is finally in, and no, we have not discovered the secret. Up early tomorrow for round 2...

I went with using a spring compressor that drops in from the top of the shock towers and leave everything bolted up, it takes me about 10-15 min to get each spring out

I lucked out on my last set. They were REALLY stiff, so I cut them until they fit without having to compress them. Just jack the car up, and snap them in. Once I set the car back down, they didn't move.

But they were definitely "aftermarket" and weren't even listed to fit my car.

We wasnt just changing springs...we were going for the complete front end replacement.
From yesterday, we thought we were smarter...everything off: 1 hour...everything back on: 1 hour... springs...ugh 4 hours.
Wow, what a difference. I cant wait to see what a pair of sway bars are going to do...

Originally, east Texas. Once I got grown, uncle Sam drug me all over. I took an early retirement a couple years ago and landed around Houston. I'm in Baytown right now, but looking to find me a place this summer...thats not Baytown.
    Curious question...

Thanks for your service. I am also a Vet. Just curious because most people here will physically help each other if they know you live fairly close. Also if you need parts then it is nice to know what area these would ship to.
