    Looking at the way the back of the car is supported, someone will have a nice surprise if they ever start taking out the gas tank bolts from inside the trunk!

    If you look at the two-wheels-welded-together jack stand the wrecking yard is using to hold up the back end of the car, you'll notice that they appear to be directly under the gas tank. Since this car is a 1970, the tank is dropped-into the hole in the trunk from above. If one was to remove all of the bolts holding the gas tank to the trunk floor flange, the car would drop down over the jack stand and the gas tank would become dislodged from the body of the car.
