We replaced the Sunpro black mini tach with an Equus chrome rim tach and added a 'disc brake' pedal pad today. We also added the 302 air cleaner decal. Slowly getting the things we wanted done to the car.

For anyone interested we are going to sell the 14" American Racing wheels and tires that are on the car in the pictures. They should be off the car and ready to sell by next weekend and I will make a for sale thread.

What rims are you going to end up going with?

    Thanks!

We decided to get a set of 15" American Racing Torque Thrust 'D' wheels. We are going to run a 15x4.5 on the front and a 15x7 on the rear. So very similar wheels (spokes a little lighter gray) but with a smaller width wheel on the front and a wider, lower profile tire (255/60/15 vs. 235/70/14) on the rear.

We got the black pinstripe put on the tail panel today. We also got the X-pipe installed which included getting rid of the chrome extensions and getting the mufflers and tailpipes tucked properly. Also got the car registered with the 1975 VA plates. Making progress!

We got the new 15" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels on the car today. The fronts are 4.5" and the rears are 7". The front tires are 165/80/15 and the rear tires are 255/60/15. We are happy with the way they look on the car!

Just got back from the garage.

We swapped out the black finned M/T valve covers for a set of Scott Drake chrome 'Power by Ford' valve covers.

The sport steering wheel that we got from a forum member came this week along with a set of the Mercury crest decals from Seth Roberts so we were able to swap out the Grant 'Le Mans' wheel for the sport wheel.

We are happy with how everything turned out! We then took the car out for a cruise and got some lunch.

    A very productive day!

The Sport Steering wheel is a definite improvement over the Grant wheel! Looking great, as usual!! :thumbs2:

    Thanks Paul.

I agree; the Grant wheel just kind of looked out of place with the 'theme' of this car.
