After a rough alignment, it's the first time on the road since 1983 for this Maverick! A long way to go, but getting there. Car Go.jpg

Love the seats. You should go with those. Expecially since you already have a matching passenger seat. Thats a good look.

Congrats, always nice to see some progress.

A fitting weekend for a resurrection! How did the under hood "hair cut" work out?

The custom rewiring was a nightmare. I'm still not 100% sure everything is right, but it finally seems to be working OK (thanks to all the forum help). I do like the clean engine bay. Here is a picture of the wiring harness under the front quarter panel. I'm not sure this is what you were suggesting in an earlier post (polished stainless tubing etc), but I am OK with the this out of the box idea. I just wish I would have run a few extra wires for things I forgot about (like a tach, oil pressure, sport lamps, engine temp etc). I will send you a picture of the engine bay when I get finished (which could be awhile).

It was fun but I kinda did it to piss off a snooty neighbor that called me to jump start her car... Had just gotten it running when she called, in true bucket seat fashion I set a five gallon paint bucket in it, tossed cables in the back and down the street I went... It did have a windshield & back glass but otherwise was as nekkid as your maverick...

Did you build all of the wiring harnesses yourself?

I like everything you are doing with this car and how you are going about it. Also love the old Cragar SST's.

All wiring outside the cab (front and rear is custom). I tapped into the original cab wiring at the bulkhead connector (Inside wires looked good). I wrote a 12 page summary of what I did for future reference (after I die and some poor soul like my son has to figure out what I did). If there is any interest, I can supply that, but there is no warranty that comes with it. This design still needs to be proven.
