Very clean and detailed car. It looks really nice. I like the sport wheel a lot better than the Grant wheel myself. (y)

    Thanks Allen!

    Thanks Mike!

As far as I know it is the same Champion radiator that we put in my uncle's '71 Grabber.

We was able to get the car over to a friend of mine's body shop this afternoon.

When the car was painted a couple of years ago they removed the front hood emblem and filled the two holes because the original hood emblem was in such bad shape. We used my uncle's '71 Comet GT for reference and we got the two holes drilled back in the hood to mount a pretty decent used hood emblem that I got last year and had tucked away.

We are still on the lookout for an NOS or excllent used hood emblem, but this one will have to do until then.

This is also the fist time we have had the two Comet GT's out together. Gives you a good idea of the diffence in the yellows on the cars. The '71 is Competition Yellow and the '75 is Bright Yellow.

We got the Mercury decklid script polished up and installed today and then took the car out for it's first cruise-in. We also took my uncle's '71 Maverick Grabber.

    Thanks!

I was nice and sunny, but was a little windy and cool. It was nice to be able to get the cars out and take a drive. The cruise-in is about 30 minutes from where we live and there probably was a little over a 100 cars there.

    Thanks Tim!!

Seeing all those Comet GT's at last fall's mini meet got us in the bug to find another one. Especially one that had a stick shift in it!

Chef's Drive-in is a locally owned placed in the town of Altavista, VA where the cruise-in was at last night. It has been around since at least the 1950's.

They still offer curb service and have really good hot dogs and hamburgers. We usually stop by for dinner after the Altavista and Chatham cruise-ins

    Thanks!

I sold my 'project' '73 Comet car to help raise money to get the '75 Comet GT. I glad to hear your dad is getting his painted. We are going to try to do another MCCI Mini Meet again this year, hopefully you guys can come.
