I am looking at replacing my tank due to holes in tank and rust. I see some people are using the 66 mustang tanks others are using the 69 tank. Looking for suggestions which way to go. Looks like an easy swap. Also do I need filler neck or can I use the one I have? I read mavaholic's tech article and later in the article I see it says you don't need the vent? Anyone with this swap give me advice please.

Unless your looking for extra room for tail pipes, a new 76 mav tank is still available all you need is longer strap bolts.. I put a 19gl. 69 mustang tank in mine and just used a vented mustang gas cap...
