Dennis, I may want to borrow it. I may have a source for making those things.

    Kilgore,
The side panels inside the engine compartment are usually called aprons. Dont ask me why but thats what I always heard and used.

    Terry,
That would be great if you could make that happen. Just let me know. I had talked to a guy who said he could reproduce these in fiberglass but I dont see how you would attach it to the car other than rivits or bolts. Plus it would have to be alot thicker to get the same strength to support the battery.

maybe it is because it keeps the " grease and oils"" off the tires. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

nah they are called aprons because because your engine hides behind them. think about it my brother cut his out to reveal his engine. hinse the performance. and all good performances begin behind a curtain

Apron: Something, such as a protective shield for a machine, that resembles this garment in appearance or function.

You can't use the left apron to come up with any kind of pattern even if you reverse it. The left and rt side apron is totally shaped different due to the inset of the battery.
It's really not that hard to cut out the rusted section and make a patch to replace the part you cut out. It's a little time consuming if you want it to look real nice but it can be done...did it twice myself.
