Checking transmission fluid level

    What's the correct way to check the fluid level on my 73 Maverick C4 transmission? Do I check it while running and in Park or check it while not running? I recall some vehicles require checking while running in park or neutral. It doesn't specify on the dip stick.

    Same holds true for any RWD and FWD that have a dipstick...
