So, I am running a 1/4" wheel spacer and would like to get that 1/4" back with longer studs. Anyone know the correct knurl size? I only get about 4 full turns before it gets snug, so I would feel safer if I get longer studs. I tried my local part stores, but they won't help if it ain't something they can just look up. Any advice would be great.

I doubt it's gonna fit. You're talking over a tenth of an inch bigger. You can order longer studs from most of the mail-order performance parts suppliers.

I figured the .560 was to big, but what about the .550. That's only 5 thousandths bigger. I have been searching like crazy and can't find a longer wheel stud in a .545.

Just order 1 and try it. If it works, you are good to go! Welcome to hot rodding. (y)

Haha.. yea, I did order the .550's. If they don't work then I guess the search is on again. Or just tell the wife I just have to switch to the 9 inch now :)

They are 3 different part numbers for Maverick rear studs...70-73, 74-75 and 76-77
Don't know any more that that other than 2 part numbers for the front studs...70-73 and 74-77. Making a total of 5 different part numbers for factory wheel studs.
Only 2 different lug nuts...pretty and ugly.

From what Larry told me and my research, the 74 will have the .545 in the rear. I can't find any aftermarket stud with that knurl. I'll try the .550 and see how that fits.

If you press them in it won't be a problem at all. If you plan on using a BFH it might require a little more persuasion.

So, I had the local part store order those studs and when I went to go pick them up, they told me the total was $117!!! Needless to say, I did not get them! Lol.

That's about what I was expecting to pay. I honestly can't find studs to fit my axles. 70-73 where one size. .625

    74-75 where the .545's.

Then the 76-77 where back to the more comin size. .618

Might just bust out a drill bit and go from there. :)

Try first installing them without drilling anything.
