Ok guys I need some input from the pros. I have a 70 Mav with the 250, it has a Carter YF on it and that carb is too tall for a hood to close. So I need a different carburetor. I've looked at some "new" rbs carbs online but $300 is a little too rich for me right now, so my question is do any of you know a good source for an RBS or can anyone point me towards some alternate carbs that will fit and allow me to close the hood?

Thanks in advance for the info.

That carb should fit. That's a standard carb for a 250. Did you put a different air cleaner on it?

I had the same issue when I put a 250 in my '71.

    Look at eBay ad 321800962922

Thanks for the info guys. That ebay listing is probably what im gonna go with.
The air cleaner isn't the stock cleaner. When I bought the car it had this carb and a cheapo edelbrock foam cleaner on it.
