I experienced the same thing, but could have been related to what I was doing.

Google chrome is still not showing the dialogue box for replies. I can quote and edit things.. but there is no or text field box or blinking curser for me to do anything else. IE and Torch are the only browsers working for me right now. Haven't got Firefox loaded on this rig but I suspect that won't have issues either. Seems to be related to Chrome only so far.

You think that java and flash update muddled up chrome, Stefan?

I would be much more suspect of the java than the flash update and might have to roll back to previous version just to troubleshoot.

Which forum style are you using? Have you cleared your cache. I would doubt its Java related as the forum does not use Java.

This reply was made using Chrome on Windows 7, using the "classic MMB forum style"

Geez, I guess I don't really know for sure. Whatever the default view is and all I've ever used. I did try to clear the cache right away and even did a hard shutdown and reboot after the updates were installed. Chrome is the only browser having issues so far. Oddly enough though.. it's ONLY with this site which seems rather strange to me all in itself.

And yeah.. W7 with latest Chrome version. Never an issue like this until a couple days ago. Will dig into the guts of it all later on and will just stick with IE 10 for now.

Maybe its a chrome plugin causing the issue?

I just recently remembered why I hadn't updated the flash player now. After a quick review it appears that Chrome quite allowing NPAPI plugins to run on 9-1-2015 and only allows the use of PPAPI if Chrome is allowed to update automatically. The newest version of flash I recently installed was a standalone update received directly from Adobe and updated outside of Chrome.

The bit of quick reading I did after remembering this basically says this.. "Plugins that use NPAPI, including Silverlight, Java, and Unity, won’t work. If you want to use a website that uses an NPAPI plugin, you’ll need to use a different web browser".

This timing is right on target with the issues I've been seeing lately. Will try a few workarounds since I prefer Chrome if I have the choice.

OK.. after a few tweaks we're back in business again using Chrome. Thanks for the input from all.
