The attraction I read out of junrai's post is that the Ranger MC fit the car without brake line mods. Junrai stated, ".......... I didnt have to change anything else. the lines fit right it no adapters nada bolt in bleed and go." That is why I asked the question, " did the 97 Ranger have 4 wheel disk brakes?"
I used ALL of my original brake lines. The two that go into the master are the same original lines, but I did grind the flares off the master end, switched the fittings to match the new master, and then re-flared. I only lost about an 1/8" of total line.
Ok so what im getting from this is crown vic disk brake calipers and caliper brackets will go right onto a stock maverick rear?
yes...we did two cars in one day in my shop... cars we have CV rear disk on...Mine, Tims, Earls, Jeffs, Terrys and Mike has a set for one of his mavs. I have a writeup on here somewhere on how to hook up the CV E-brake cable to the stock E-cable... also get the hard line fitting off the donor car (it's metric). PM me if there any other questions I could help you with. Frank
cable end mod... cut the ends off, slide the old cable out, slide the CV cable in...cut cable to fit... then had the new ends...silver soldered...on... they are... heads cut off of allen head bolt ...then drilled out to the size of the cable. my radiator shop Guy soldered them on for me...
a lot of people use the...ranger M/C. I ran the drum/drum before going rack n pinion, then went to a Strange M/C
