Hello, I am a previous owner.

My second car owned was a 1971 maverick with a 302. It was the first in the area (Hagerstown Md.) with the 302 and I fooled alot of people with it back then. It had hooker headers, high rise manifold, holley, different cam( can not remember name) put in a 4 speed, had to shorten drive line. Back in 1971/72 I put over a $1,000 in the engine and drive train, quite a bit for back then.I long to have it back.

I have 2 mustangs at the present time at 2003 mach1 and a 1993 cobra. I have been reading the posts here and have been enjoying them alot.

Greetings Dave, Welcome to the message board. :Welcome: Sounds like you had a good time with your Maverick. It must have run pretty good. You should find another one and do it up...it seems to be one of the very few cars left that is a reasonably priced classic car to buy these days. So you are in McConnellsburg...I am from Huntingdon. That's not too far away. Do you like to go to car shows or any events like that? If so, maybe we'll see each other somewhere one of these days.

I attend all the Carlisle shows. There is a real nice cruise in at Hagerstown I also like to go to. Let me know of any shows in your area, I would try to make them

Welcome to the board:Welcome: .Good to see another Pennsylvainian among us. Have you ever been to The All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pa? It's a great show and a even greater place to meet fellow Maverick owners and check out some really nice Mavericks and Comets.

If Carlisle is not too far for you you should be able to make to The Soda Jerk in Hummelstown near Hershey during the summer. Usually the first (I think) Saturday of every month, April thru October. Not unusual to get 400+ cars there. :Welcome:
