Leaf springs with lowering blocks for racing?

    1" drop and the springs have a 1" drop built into them.

    I too, like the idea of drop spindles. It is the cost that gives me pause. Every drop spindle I have seen is $400-$500 a set. I'm sure the lack of production scale keeps the unit cost high, but I can experiment with a lot of springs for that kind of money. If I have missed a lower cost alternative, I would like to know about it.

    Nice. Same color as my first Grabber in '72.

    You are a little bit ahead of my current car, as I'm dealing with the same ride height issues.

    I have a street strip car with cal tracs, mono leafs and a half inch lowering block my dad has the same set up with a 1 inch lowering block we have smacked it with some nitrous and they hold together fine no problems

    The only other problem w/ drop spindles is to make sure you get the correct control arms so you can set your caster & camber.

    I'm running a similar setup on my Brand X with one inch lowering blocks and Caltracs and they're doing fine.

    ditto ^^^ ive run one inch lowering blocks for many years, once I had to replace the blocks, but that was my own fault. lol I run original 6 cyl springs with caltracs and the adjustable rancho rear shocks

    Update ditched the leafs all together went with triple adjustable ladder bars & coilovers
