Never mind, I got it, but part of the front cover extends out and does not allow the pulley to go on. I machined it off, but the cover is still too thick. Plus, the diameter of the pulley is larger than the OEM pulley and it hits the front case. Oh well.

If it is a small case 3g....it is not a 130 amp. The 130 amp 3g can be identified by the amount of holes in the front of the ribs on the alt. Two holes is a 130 amp .... four holes is a 95 amp.

I don't want to hijack anyone's thread but could I use 1 of these 130 alts on a stock 250 6 cylinder a/c car? Later on I intend to run H.I.Ds, amp/subs, and eventually a Roller 351W . I've always hated points, generators, and voltage regulators = :dead: technology . I have the knowledge of rebuilding them which is cheap but more of a "modern modify it" kinda guy

That's why I put mine in stock alternator didn't keep up the the hid's and I have a 250 6 cylinder mine isn't an ac car but it should work the same how I have mine crank water pump alt. Ac should be on a different belt? But should work non the less

Points can be replaced with electronic cheap, none of Mavericks had a generator and all alternators have voltage regulators.

I know about the electronic point replacements like Pertronix :D but I'm saying I hate adjusting them/filing or cleaning when they stuck shut (dad is a fan of them for sake of being cheap easy lol), I owned a '64 4dr Fairlane 500 (had a generator I learned about when it died .... kinda taught me how to rebuild "alternators" ), and of course voltage regulators (y) yep .... would rather have'em built in to the alternator vs being mounted on the firewall or fender just cleaner. Both of these kicked my 19 yr old butt when tinkering with the Fairlane 500 & the original 260 V8 which I bought for $300 running.

Never had mine on any car get stuck closed. And there easy to adjust.. But that's what I'll be running a pertonix distributor but in the 302.

I had issues with the Fairlane's points sticking No Matter what I did .... any time it was cold or there was moisture in the SC air they would. IDK maybe it was the cheap auto house replacement caps not sealing or something simple  . I will run the Pertronix kit in my 250 while I hunt a 94-97 351W Roller motor. Figure I'll enjoy driving the project as I work on it, save the $ to buy 351W upgrades (carb, intake,GT40P heads, cam, headers, and etc for HP goal of 350-400), and I'm anxious to drive this thing as the new owner of it :bouncy:

Should have sprayed some Wd-40 in there. 350-400 hp sounds like to much of work for not a lot of power you can get that out of a 302 fairly easily. I'll have close to 500 in my 302 and don't have to cut the shock towers haha
