This is just a note to acknowledge to everyone that you are all a very special group of people. I joined the forum a few months ago, and have really enjoyed reading and learning about different issues that come up when restoring these classic Mavericks. I don’t even have one yet (someday in the future), but as some of you know from reading my posts, my first car was a ’76 Maverick Stallion, and I loved that car! Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this, most of the members on this forum are so helpful and willing to offer tips, techniques, parts, and some even offer their time and work space to other members! It’s really cool to sit back and watch the interaction, and the common goal of the group is for each member to realize their dream of creating/restoring a classic Maverick, something to have pride in! This group creates more of a “family” atmosphere (where everyone wants to help each other out) than I think I have ever seen. I really tip my hat to all of you and I consider myself privileged to be in your company.

    Thanks everyone!

    Art

    Art,

Thanks for the kind words. It's people like you who make this family what it is.

    Great bunch of people here.

Nicely said, I have been on a few other car club boards, and all I have to say is this one is unique due to the people that are here. (y)

We are as unique and different as our cars are to the rest that are out there.

I have been to many message boards too and this is tightest group I have seen. When some one calls upon the group for a simple question to an outreach for prayer everyone pulls together. :)

Stefan does a wonderful job with this board. But in the end, it is only as good as the members who join it. I for one feel darn lucky that we have a nice place like this.

The same reason I joined over a year ago. Some unique people who offer opinions/advice and usually not critisism. Great bunch of people for sure.

Art, I agree with everything you said, which is why I'm in here every day. I may not write every day but I do read.
That's another reason why I am making it a point to be at the Round-Up this year, to meet some of these people in person. I'm really looking forward to it. I've also read a lot of your posts and think you make a great addition to our family. Hope you get that next Maverick soon...there's nothing like em.;)

This is a family, full of wonderful, nice caring people, including Frank. I'm a member of a couple boards and groups and this is by far the best with no close second. I, too commend the folks on this board, even Johnson.:D

Ahhh shucks........The first time I posted on this board was right after I got back from my first Roundup in 1999. Alot of the people I met there are now most of my best friends. Some of them I even talk to still. Seriously, this place gets better and better as the years go by, but, if you think this place is great, it pales compared to fun and camaraderie you will find at the Roundup.

Ditto to all of the above. This truely is a special place with some of the nicest people I have ever encountered on a message board. That's one of the reasons why I visit this board everyday. I don't have a very large personal family, but when I come here, it's like having a family get together with folks from all over the country and beyond. Evert time someone new joins this board, the family just gets bigger.:)
