Chick was paying attention to her phone going through the metering lights and ran into me as I was trying to take off:slap::(

Anybody know a resource for getting the value of a maverick so I can submit it to the other persons insurance so they dont try to give me $2000 for my car I am in the process of looking for receipts and whatnots for stuff that I have installed, and have talked to a body shop they said probably around 4-5k I am going to get a real estimate tomorrow

Make sure and look at the frame rail right about the rear axle on the passenger side. They tend to bend there when hit in the rear. From the pictures....looks like it can all be pulled out.

Very fixable, but those small rear bumpers are getting tougher to find.

    Fuelish,
I had two appraisals done on my car. Maybe they can help you:
    Auto Appraisal Network (949) 387-7774 AutoAppraisalNetwork.com
    Auto Appraisal Group (800) 848-2886 Autoappraisal.com

I agree with Craig and Frank, check the trunk floor pans. I had a similar hit and it bent up the pan. Take a good look at the frame rails all the way past the rear end. Mine had a squeeze just above the rear axel. Get it on a frame rack.

Yes I believe it is fixable I have been collecting parts before this happened because that quarter is all rusty at the bottom and I have extra bumpers and a taillight panel, the trunk floor is not great and the where the bumper bracket mounts it bent pretty good. It really wasnt a hard hit I was surprised how much damage there was. I will check on the frame rail.

This car is mostly a fun car daily driver it was already not in great shape but fun so I will likely fix it even if I have to do it myself with friends.

wonder how much less damage there would have been if this was a big bumper car, i still imagine there to be almost as much. One of the previous owners before me backed my car into a pole in a parking lot and crushed in the corner of my big rear bumper and caused frame and body damage. They did not do anything about it so my quarter panel and frame are rusted and needs to be fixed and re-fabricated meow.

So they finally got back to me today the estimated damages are around $6000 they said (independent company came out to asses the damages). So they had to find comparable cars to get an estimate of the value (another independent company looked) they found 2 maverick grabbers to compare 1 73 and 1 74 the average price was $2500 - the salvage fee of $400 so they want to give me $2100:rant2:. I told her what about upgrades I just put a new 5 speed and it has a newer fuel injected engine and upgraded brakes, she said that is all just maintenance.

So now they said if I dont agree with the value I need to find comparable cars. I started looking but it is hard to find something "comparable" sure lots for sale but not grabber, not 5 speed, not fuel injection, not big wheels, upgraded brakes. It may look rough on the outside but I have b
    een collecting parts.

Anyway any help would be appreciated I have looked at sold cars on ebay because clist you can ask whatever you want, but I am using those ads too

Here is the car now with the rear wheel not the correct one it has issues but all is cosmetic
    2.3 turbo efi
    rebuilt T5
    13" cobra brakes
    sparco steering wheel
    koni shocks
    shelby drop
    adjustable strut rods
    subframe connectors
    18" FR500 wheels 275 35 18 rears
