Anyone installed modern rear 3 point belts in their Maverick? Something I am thinking about. I am thinking I would just need to weld up a mount on the rear pillar somewhere. Any advice appreciated.

Nobody? Not worried about rear passengers?

Dont see why it cant be done...Going to need to reinforce the C pillar to mount the belt properly and safely. Will have to resist quite a few Gs' at the mount point. Will need to with stand shear and torsional stresses to keep the wearer safe.
I personally, rarely have rear seat passengers in my mav.

I haul my young children on a regular basis and its not a big deal at moment because you can use a lap belt for a full car seat but my oldest is about to go to a booster seat and you cannot use a lap belt for that.

Please explain, as I used booster seats with my kids in the backseat (been at least 10 years ago now). The booster seats worked just fine with only the lap belts in the back seat.

Could mount the seatbelt on the rear shelve frame like on my mom's Cadillac.

Appears I was mistaken, it not illegal but not recommended. I would like to keep kids safe as possible while riding in old car.

Something like that could definitely work, maybe I should browse the junk yard for inspiration.
