Wht year / makes of cars will have a bolt in 9", granada?, installing in 74 mav, the versai is to hard to get but would love disc if not then will convert
Many early Mustangs/Cougars will bolt in as well since the axle perches are located in the correct position, but the tube lengths are different.
A Lincoln Versailles is an automatic disc brake 9 inch find but there are still Granada and Monarchs out there and some have 9 inch rears under them. Some are disc and some are drum. Some are 6 cylinders and some are V8's. No one has ever figured out which one of them got the 9 inch rear so look under all of them and you could get lucky. Mine 9 has disc brakes and came out from under a 6 cylinder Granada Ghia
I've seen two 1980 Granadas with the drum 9 under them. I figure this was the last year for a 9 in the cars, so Ford might have been trying to use up stock.
In 1981 the Granada/Monarch was built on the Fox platform so that might have had something to do with the 9 inch disappearing in 80
I used a 57 Ford 9 in. in my 71 Maverick it fit right IN I had to push my springs outboard and it didn't take much .
This page has a lot of useful info on which rear ends you can use from other vehicles. http://www.oregonhotrod.com/Rear Axle Measurements.htm
