I have half my garage emptied out onto my driveway, so I guess it is official .... I will be going to the swap meet tomorrow.

For those Florida members that haven't been to this, it is right in the middle of the state and a large meet ... 900 vendor spaces, a car corral with vehicles for sale, and a car show. It is the first Sunday of each month (except July and August).

    More details here ....

I have a lot of odds and ends, 6 cylinder radiator, Grabber seat track pieces, hubcaps, chrome, parking brake cables, and more.

Did they expand across the road? I haven't been there in a couple years. I am driving a burgundy 2012 Lincoln MKX, so that may be the easiest way to find me. I will PM you.

No they are still over in the fair grounds area. They have "3" areas still. The north end is the new venders. The far back is a mix of new and old and the south side is all your established vendors.

I got together with William yesterday. Always nice to be able to put a face to a screen name here. Great to talk together at length.

Out of 900 vendors, it looks like I was the only one selling Mav/Comet parts. On the flip side, I spoke with a half dozen guys that had cars or cars in the works. One guy that I spoke with has a 40K (?) mile survivor 2 door green big-bumper that he will be selling. It looked good in pics, only needing a grille.

After seeing me selling parts, another guy is thinking about a going to Alabama to retrieve a "cheap" Grabber that sounds like a parts car. I directed them and most of the others to the board here.

All in all, I had a great time. It was a long day, but I cleared some garage space, and came back with enough cash to make the day worthwhile. Funny thing, there was stuff I was sure I would sell, and about half of that did, in fact, go to new homes. The other half got packed up and brought back here. Then there was other stuff that I doubted would sell .... gone! You just never know, until you try.

Probably the best part of all this was, while prepping for the meet, discovering how much stuff I have here that I forgot about. It all just looks like "boxes" most of the time. Out of sight, out of mind.

Still pumped up from the whole experience!

It was good meeting you! While I was there I got a lead on a 72 maverick that I will hopefully get to see in a couple of weeks! There were a few people selling scattered maverick parts. Mostly taillights and emblems. But nothing major.
