    Forum,
I just put my 302 in and found out yet another stumbling block. I had put on tall aluminum covers and the Drivers side hits the Brake Booster and won't let my drivers side engine mount to seat properly. My question is:
Will stock covers work for my application? I have the following internally

    Valve Springs; https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-2500100
    Cam: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-6250-e303
    Rockers: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/scc-scp1021/overview/make/ford

Again, Thanks for replying in advance!!!

The cam lift shouldn't be an issue. The real problem is with the positive locking nuts for the rockers. They may interfere with the oil baffle inside the cover. Just slide the cover on without a gasket and see if it hits the locks. You can clearance the baffle with a ball peen hammer if you just need a little space.

I used a set of these with a similar setup. I had to buy two sets of gaskets and glue them together. Didn't leak, didn't hit. I used weatherstrip adhesive.

with 1.7 roller rockers I had to go with a different set of valve covers. I didn't have a problem with stock rockers. I had older MT valve covers before but put the rollers on had to go back to the newer tall cobra valve covers the oil baffle was the issue

you may be able to get the tall chrome covers to clear. aluminum covers are thicker obviously which also makes them taller, worth a try
