A local guy has a 72 door for sale, rust free. My car's a 75, from what I read the mounting points for the door handle and a few other things are different. I have a custom power window setup mounted under the door panel.

Would it be worth it to get the earlier door, and cut and weld in the existing inner piece to make it work on my 75? I'm having difficulty finding a door locally, and this is the first one I've seen to pop up.

    Thanks

I would continue the search for a later door not only is the outside (inside of car) of the skin different so is the inside mechanisms parts of the door and impact bar. Texture at the top of inner door would be different as well.

Yeah that's one to many differences for me to bother with it. Thanks!
