fiberglass hood

    im looking too get a fiberglass hood soon and im wondering what manufacturers you guys/girls recommend? the car is a drag car so if i have to pin it thats ok.

    Can't speak from experience on specific quality but I see some others using the various sellers parts. And the one universal comment you'll see from many, not just around here either, about horsepoo parts is generally directed towards showcase body parts.

    have you givin any thoughts to carbon fiber? maverick man makes a really nice carbon fiber hood everyone that has one is very pleased with the quality and fitment

    +2 on the carbon fiber hood if you have the $ to get one and have it shipped and he still has one, for a drag car I would go with the cowl hood as it gives you more room for intake height and lets more heat out. If fitment and quality isnt an issue then go with the cheapest you can find

    I thought about a carbon hood but I'm going to be cutting a hole in the hood for clearance for the throttle body and charge pipe. it would hurt me inside doing that to a hood as nice as maverick mans.

    flat hood... cut it, scoop it and go racing...:drive:...:chirp:
    I now have my stock Grabber hood installed...:thumbs2:

    Thanks for the offer red1972grabber. I've never seen another maverick here in wny so parts are scarce.
