Ha Ha.......pretty funny. Took me a minute.

Actually the name was based on the sign. That sign hung on a bandmate's wall in his house. The name just seemed to fit.

Just back back from Edmonton. Once again the Pick and Pull website was pretty accurate and there was a Maverick manufactured in 11/72 there. The best pieces were the rear opening windows complete with trim and a pretty good hood with a bit of surface rust on the underside. Missing were the front fenders, the front bumper, grill, the drivers side rear quarter panel the car, the trunk and the left door. The window of the passenger door was there but non functional. The hubs were 5 lug. It had a 6 banger. The tranny was also gone. All I pulled was the horn. Here are the photos.

That is my car. We talked to your dad for a few minutes. We had stopped at Waffle House for dinner on the way home from Richmond Dragway. We had to park in the Advance Auto parking lot next door. He told us about your turbocharged Maverick, sounds like a cool car!

    Thanks Paul!

SEEN IN THE WILD .... a half-mile from my house in Dunedin..... 1973 two door Mav in dark green. It looked like an old repaint, sweet old survivor car. Pretty clean and solid with a touch of patina. Dog dish hubcaps, skinny tires, not modded at all. I was driving home yesterday after a long day of work and this Mav was going the other way on the main drag through town. Was too busy trying to get my jaw out of my lap and driving to try and grab a picture. If this car was driving this close to my house, it is a very solid bet I will see it again soon. I can almost smell it from here ....

Saw this pepsi ad near my home, it's a really crappy pic, but you can see the blue mav in it. I'll try to get a better one ASAP.

Our delivery driver spotted this for me today. Will have to see if i can track it down as it's the first maverick/comet I've seen in Western Australia.

Seen This 71 at Fort Campbell today. Talked to SFC Hoover, he is the second owner, his dad was the first. I told him about the web site. We might have a new member soon.
