Welcome aboard!! Sounds like you have a nice mav.

The only help I can give you is this website that has one piece glass front ends. http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/

    Welcome to the board!!! Pictures??

I don't have a whole lot of info on fiberglass, but I do know from the experience learned from others that you need to make sure you buy from a repetable company. Fiberglass can be a pain, especially when it is not made exact, then you will have a fit and finish problem.

Old guy (I think) just had a thread on a fiberglass hood he picked up. Cost $350+shipping just for the hood--so I can only imagine what a good 1 piece will cost. If you do go that route though, keep us updated, because I havn't see many people with that kind of set up yet.

I'm not sure what weather stripping your talking about. If your saying your chrome that surrounds the windshield is missing, and you want to fill the gap, then the answer is no. There is no weatherstripping to do that. If you like the no chrome look, one way is to beed blast the trim pieces and paint them body color. As far as rear gears, Its more a matter of what you want to do with the car. All street, street/strip, or race only. 1/4 or 1/8 track will matter on gear selection for race only applications. BTW, welcome and post pictures when you can.

    re

    thanks for all the info,
as for the chrome around the windows I have painted what is there, but the piece across the top of the windshield is missing and the gap was filled with silicone caulk smoothed over and painted, it is not a permanent fix.as soon as I get the drivetrain done I'm taking it to a body shop for a professional paint job.
I do have my car pic on the information site. you can also see it on my web site. http:/members.cardomain/madmav74
I plan on running my car on the street from time to time, and running it at the the track around here it is 1/8 mile.
