Just wondering what personalized license plates are out there. For instance, I've seen 73 MAV and I imagine there is a MAV MAN out there. Any other observations or catchy ideas?

My Michigan plate is a vanity plate that says "THE MAV".

Was supposed to be "Fordman" (my nickname which started in high school) but was already taken, even after my wife went in and got them to 'check' before she bought them. Ended up with her 2nd choice "FRDMAN" but has become a conversation piece when people still can't figure it out... I get "Freedom Man", "Freud Man", "Fro Man". Anyway, you get the idea. I had it on my first Maverick too.

No slam against Mavericks .... just had to get this plate after so many people would walk up and say "hey, nice Maverick", and I would tell them to look at the front fender badge and get back to me. LOL.

In the 90s, I was running the "Light Em" plate and "Dial In" was on my buddy's Buick GN. We were doing a fair amount of bracket racing at the time.
...and yes, Don Garlits made a run for Congress back then. Didn't quite make it, but had a strong enough showing.

I think it was Hot Rod Power Tour (East?) around 1999 or 2000, "Light Em" and "Serious" were seen parked right next to each other.

    Hi "Cap"
I'm surprised you remembered this. I usually take pics of all the license plates on the tours and store them in
my CAMEO computer folders . I have a ' bunch ' of them .. I remember one tour where I took a pic of a Chevy
Chevelle that had the message etched into his rear windshield .. " Trailers are for Boats " ... Some really creative
plates out there .We're planning on joining the HRPT with a Comet and Maverick this June I'm sure there will
be a whole flock of Newbies with their own plates.

haha this is what I'm going to try and get for my maverick when I register it again for the street!

It's on storage insurance while i work on it. but THE MAV is my first choice.

Also considering "GOOSE" as my second choice haha. I'm sure you guys will get the reference

This is a bit off topic but this guy got into trouble with his personalized plate in the province of Nova Scotia in Canada. His last name is the German name, Grabher.

Maybe we should make him an honorary member. :biglaugh:
