Does anyone have a picture of a powerbrake booster setup for a '70?

The 1970 Maverick I'm helping someone with has a power booster on it that angles towards the carburetor. Is that how it was installed at the factory? My '70 and '74 have manual brakes, so I don't have anything to compare it with.

Yes the booster angles that way, due to the size it was the only way that Ford could get it to fit.

Is that peculiar to the '70, or ar all years like that? Do they have that strange circular shock tower brace?

Disc brakes did not come on Mavericks until 74 and even then it was an option and all the power disc brakes on Mavs and Comets through the years were that way. The shock tower bracket is a rounded type like you are talking about

OK, thanks, that's good info. Do aftermarket power boost setups fit the same way? The pictures I'm looking at on a Google search show a straight mounting and the straight shock tower brace.

No you can get some from other vehicles but they have to be really short I cant remember off the top of my head what else works but Geo Metro comes to mind, I researched all this when I put disc brakes on my Falcon and was thinking about going power. In order to use the Maverick power booster you have to have the brake pedal and other mounting stuff from a Maverick with power disc brakes
