Hi all,got an easy question that I can't seem to find in the archives. The textured part of the inside of the doors,is the texturing a type of paint,or the metal itself? On both doors, there are places where arms have been laid, and has a thin layer of rust that needs to be fixed and repainted. Before I went and wire brushed or sanded,I wanted to ask the experts,so as not to remove the textured area. Most of the cars I've dealt with in the past were either smooth,or had full panels all the way up to the window fuzzies. Thanks,Skip...

    It is the metal itself.

Thank you sir. Wanted to take a fine stainless steel wire brush on a drill and remove the rust, and repaint before installing window felts and rebuilding the regulators and glass run...
