There's a good article on installing a Borgeson power steering system in the September 2017 issue of Car Craft magazine ( where did the summer go ?). The article deals with the installation in a early Mustang with a kit for 65-70 Mustangs with a 6 cylinder. Maybe someone with the appropriate experience would like to comment on how applicable this is for Mavericks. I know some of the forum members have already done it.

Just got done with it . My question is how alike are our strg columns. They also said v8 guys should order the 6cy hoses for extra length, clearing headers etc.

I have the sys. "entire kit" on my car; the hoses are to short. I had a new pressure hose made, should have had return hose made too. If I remove the return for any reason, it will be replace; they are too close to header.
To get caster where Borg say's it should be - I had to install shims in the frt bolt of up A-arm, not enough adjustment on strut rods to get there. Also, had to install Borg shim kit in pressure connection of the pump to reduce pressure to the box. Before that, the car was scary to drive. Kit comes w/ 5 shims, have 3 in the pump, car much better but still be improved.
I wud like to know what your experience w/ this setup has been?

That article was a good read. I have this conversion on my wish list.

I can tell you from my experience, installing the Borg conversion on an inline will be much easier than on small block w/the engine in car.
Main reason, much more room to work. Other than that, it should be much the same as V8. I wud assume pulley arrangements wud be much the same on Ford inlines. If you have manual steering and drive the car a lot, it may prove to be a worthwhile investment - thou a little pricey. My car had Ps/ but lot's of leaking hoses and noisy pump I cudn't stop whinning, lived w/ whine for 5 yrs "even after it was rebuilt". Now, 2 hose, no leaks, no whine.
