I just bought a 73 maverick. I want to update the interior some using seats out ion a newer car. I plan to go bucket in the front. What seats will fit well in the rear?

Welcome to the site from northeast Ohio!!! :tiphat:

Where are you located, your information doesn't specify?

The best fitting rear seat is the original as Frank points out. Why do you want to change out the rear seat? Is the pattern ugly? If so, just have them reupholstered to match whichever bucket seats you install.

This was a flood car so the seats aren't in the greatest shape. I am considering getting them recovered. Just looking into other options as well. I'm in Southeast Missouri

I have had luck in a 67 Mustang using the back seat from a mid to late 80's "fox chassis" T bird. They are solid foam. Not sure how close they are to the Maverick/Comet. The they do have a similar shape on the floor pan. I still have the recovered factory rear in my 72 Comet. May need to strip them down to the framework and replace the thin foam and jute if the damage is bad.

I have seen seats used out of I believe it was a mitsubishi eclipse. I was thinking about seeing if possibly the seat out of a ford probe may fit because We have a few of those around
