Hey everyone, I’m slowly but surely getting my car done, and I ran in to a snag. When I painted my car, I also did a rear small bumper swap and rear gravel pan swap. The bumper parts came off a 71 2 door base Maverick. I am currently trying to install my fuel tank, but the gravel pan leaves zero room to access the strap bolts. Has anyone else ran into this problem? If so do you have any solutions? I have an idea of how to remedy it, but one of you guys may have a simpler idea. Thanks in advance!

Put the tank in and then install the rear valance. I just converted mine to small bumpers. my gas tank was already in place tho.

In my infinite wisdom while doing the body work, I formed the gravel pan in to the quarter for a cleaner look. Now becoming a problem, I realize I shouldn't have done it that way.

Just drill through the trunk floor and attach with long bolts or all thread.
