Hello to all. This is Mike from Illinois. In February of 2016, I purchased a 1972 maverick, which the engine has been replaced with a 302 from a 1969 ford Torino. There have been other modifications done but to much to list for intro. The maverick was a project car for previous owner, but started a family and wanted to sell it to someone that wanted to continue the restoration. I been having fun with the project, learning alot from internet, thats when i came across this forum which I have found to be very informative. Thank you for the opportunity to join! I definitely enjoy everyones vast knowledge on this particular vehicle and look forward to learning more from all of you as I venture into this new territory.

Too bad you weren't here last year b4 the Hot Rod Power Tour stop in Champaign. I met w/ Chip there for a day when he and his associate/friend Alex and hung out w/ them. Chip has "CLASS ACT CARS", he brought 2 on the tour, he is a long hauler. Glad I made the trip to meet w/ them -- worth the trip from South Chicago area.
Oh no way mojo!!! Wow!!! Now that had to be a phenomenal experience! Ya I never knew anything about the Hot Rod Power Tour till just recently. Best believe I'm keeping eyes peeled for another opportunity to come back around.
