Okay so its been around 7 Years since I bought these heads, well I am getting ready to put this thing together in the next month ish. So im researching everything once again to avoid issue.... well issue 1, when I bought these they were just coming out, and they are now stated as not to be used with roller cams, well I have a roller cam and it looks like the main thing that needs changed to make them handle everything is to upgrade the springs. My own research has brought me to this solution below. Please let me know if you have a better answer or resolution to this problem of mine that does not involve buying another set of car. It is a street car so it wont always be in the high RPMs but we all know that it can be difficult to keep your foot out of it... well at least for me. looks a little high RPM for street car...JMO "It is a street car so it wont always be in the high RPMs" Basic Operating RPM Range:3,500-6,500
Random thoughts and questions. Tell us about the shortblock. 302 cid? Pistons have larger/deeper valve reliefs for bigger 2.02" valves and higher lift? Those higher ratio rockers will add close to another .040" lift. And 114 LSA?.. looks like an old school EFI type cam. Totally wrong way to go for a carb'd motor IMO. Also need to make sure the existing retainers inner step size fits those springs. Will also need correct spring locating cups.
