Why?.. trying to tone it down a bit more and get rid of raspiness? What's your overall impression so far?

The magnaflow was just to quiet, I wanted to wake it up a little and the Flowmaster did the trick. Still very quiet while driving, no drone at all.

Advance Auto Parts warranteed my alternator, so I am going to put it in today. Hopefully that fixes my electrical gremlin, but if not, I guess I will either get a higher amperage unit, or get that one rewound.

Sadly,(well not too sadly) I sold it... Guy made me an offer I had to take... I will miss it,but it went to a good home... Guy has it in his “man cave”... Says his grandkids love it,wife thinks it’s cool and wants to make a cruise in or two... To soften the blow to my little ol’ heart, was given many paper things and a large one owner motorcycle... I’ll still be ‘round tho... :)

Finally got some cooler weather so did some trouble shooting on the '75. The 200 was stalling out under load. Found a vacuum leak where the brake booster connects into the intake log above #1 cylinder (bad hose). Set some additional advance on the timing. Now think I'm down to a Carb issue.

Nice that it fired right up after sitting for the summer. Just want to get this running well enough to get me by until I yank it out for a 302 EFI this winter.

In the process of cleaning up all the chassis grounds to see if it will resolve the fan problems I am having. Seems to draw a lot more amps than it should, or ever has. Replaced the alternator and fan, which seemed bad. Symptoms changed, so suspect a grounding issue. Wish me luck!
