I'm having a hell of time finding 302 motor mounts. Its one of the last things left before I stuff the motor in, but driver side mount is smashed and peeled apart. Ive tried all the local parts stores they cant even order them, mounts Ive seen online either have the wrong pic or are the wrong part altogether, not sure (its not like I can call them in China and ask) If anyone knows of any options (doesn't have to be stock, just work) or maybe has a pair (or even just 1) they can part with please let me know. Thanks as always eveybody!

Yes, many do add their own bolt to pin the mount. I have not seen a new factory mount with the pin for many years now unless is was an NOS one. I still have a few around here for my own use.
Cost savings I suppose stopped them from making them with the pin.

If you really want NOS, here are 2...........

Summit Racing has these Anchor mounts, one customer review said, "Delivered in 1 day which was awesome. They fit in the frame mount brackets (lower mount) and they fit the mount holes on the block. Now I just need to bolt them all together in the car. Should work. Will update the results when finished. 1974 Ford 302 1970 Ford Maverick", picture still shows anchor pin connecting both halves, would have to ask them to double check. If everything is OK, for the price, can't go wrong..........

A bolt is probably stronger than the pin anyway.

yeah I'm just gonna cheap out, put in a bolt with some old rubber shock bushings and washers and a locknut. Hopefully the rubber isn't too cheap on the new mounts.
I have a question that might seem silly, but has anyone ever tried replacing just the rubber? it seems possible especially if its bolted together. Maybe use a chunk of poly? IDK just a thought, figured somebody else has probably had the same idea at some point.

Even on the pinned ones, the rubber is molded to the steel. It is when the rubber to steel bond breaks that the mount is bad. The pin is there to keep the motor from torking up if the bond breaks. There is no way to replace the rubber. It is all 1 bonded together piece.

In the old days we used to chain up the motor to the frame to keep the engine from twisting when a mount broke. And they broke a lot when you ran hard.

Those mounts are pretty cheap on Rock Auto. I wouldn't waste a whole lot of time patching up old ones.
