Weather was sunny and just above freezing, so I decided to do a test fitting of my recently purchased SPC 94210 Upper Control Arms w/built in Shelby 1" drop. As some of you may know, I've had my 73 Comet front suspension fully "rollerized" with Opentracker's UCA/LCA's, but wanted to go one step further with the Shelby drop. Because my Comet came with those reinforcement bracing around the shock towers, drilling 2 new holes to relocate my OEM type UCA's was not possible, which is where the SPC arms come into play, plus no need to drill any additional holes!
The only clearance required was slight grinding on the upper top of the reinforcement plate for SPC ends to clear, pictures below show chalked area to be ground. So for those of you who where wondering whether these SPC's will work with that reinforcement plate, YES! These arms are designed and built very well, the only complaint I have, it's the poor paint quality, just a very thin black coating that you can scratch off very easily, so now that I know these arms fit, will be applying a better coating once the weather warms up!

doing nothing is my everyday goal, so that means if I reach my daily goal of nothing...I have done something, right?

LOL, I made mine cry. (actually it has a slight weep in lower radiator tank).

I went out to garage and wished the Cobra happy 46th anniversary of our 1st meeting. Then we went for a cruise. Met her 11th, made purchase/deposit the 12th, brought her home the 13th. Yeah the Comet was looking really envious.

If you set your goal as nothing and do something then you’ve exceeded your goals.:bananaman:

Finally got around to getting small bumper sent to Tri City Plating for a rechrome, was qouted $375.00 if it did not need any straightening. Then another $90.00 o ship it, I hate it that shipping is so expensive any more, back when I got started selling parts it would have cost $35.00 but then the wife reminded me that was almost 20 years ago. Man time seems to go by fast

on the way back from an 80 mile cruise today I crossed a new bridge they built 6-8 months ago about 2 miles from my house. being it was new cement I thought I would see what kind of traction it would have. well 2nd gear put it sideways on the bridge. I stayed in it and got it straight before I left the bridge. last time I got sideways on a bridge was in 3rd gear. I was thinking my new 3:25 rear gear should have hooked better...

Uhhh gears don't hook, it's all about tire compound and suspension.
